I would probably buy it, just for the physicality alone, but having an actual manual included with a map would be very nice as a throw back to the originals.

I’d also love for it to be shipped on 142 cd roms like the originals too, each with independent hand drawn cover art.

I'd buy the collectors edition for a decently sized manual alone. Its also the ONLY thing that would make me buy a collectors edition since I care a lot less about the plastic statues, soundtrack CDs & stickers that tend to pass for 'collectors editions' these days

I agree. I would also buy a CE if it had something other than plastic statues and soundtrack. E.g. a unique familiar summon spell or the like could be fun.

Just to throw this out there....
Would be a good addition to the CE edition!

If your wallet is too heavy for you perhaps some charitable donations would relieve the discomfort that weight is causing you. 😁

Guilty as charged. And yeah, I absolutely agree, it's the gaming equivalent of buying unseen. I'd often do it to get the collectors' edition but was badly burnt by that when I bought Dragon Age Inquisition's CE which was crap: shoddy, broken and falling apart and only bore a passing resemblance to the "concept art" of what we were supposed to expect. Any other industry would be hauled over the coals for misleading advertising.

In hindsight it was probably worth it for the rather nice set of tarot cards which were soon being passed around on Fleabay for more than the cost of the CE itself but it taught me to be more cautious in future.

It could be worse I pre ordered naruto to boruto shinobi striker the advertised for that game was just one big fat lie it takes a lot too make me rage but this game made me so mad knower days I am way more careful of pre ordering

Literally did the same thing laugh but if nothing is announced yet it will probably never happen because it's not planned.

Same here, only registered so I could say yes (please and thank you) to this. I am still hoping for this. I will buy the game whoever it comes, of course. It would be disappointing if, after expending $60, they throw a physic CE for $120 few months after the digital edition. That could be solved if they send a coupon by email to the buyers for a discount of the physical edition. One can only dream...

I have never purchased a CE, but find myself wanting one for this game.

I would welcome a Soundtrack and Quality statue.

A physical rule book and exclusive spell would be great. Perhaps something unique for each class, so regardless of what you play, you can have something to use.

I don't know if it is even being looked at, but if I recall, there was an option to make custom campaigns in DOS2... if there is the same possibility in BG3 I am sure that it would be a thought to have a DM screen along with the ability to create custom campaigns in the Forgotten Realms landscape.

I am sure that there are other great ideas for a CE.

I also would like a Baldur's Gate 3 box or CE box. I'm paranoid I'm going to miss out on the announcement of one. I need to add it to my collection!

Please Larian, I have CE's for both Original Sins, and all the CE's that released for Baldur's Gate, and own the games on every platform... but I am not obsessed I swear.

That's a legit spread! Even black boxing it. Nice!

And Texas under glass, badass! Tower of glory

I also miss the sweet big box from the first issue. I managed to hold on to the og CDs from the big box I got at fry's in 1998, but wish I had held onto the big box itself and manual. I did keep this one though, the slim shot for a nostalgia Tutu run when they reissued the disks. I just loved the front cover.

There is definitely something cool about a physical artifact that can collect the dust hehe. I hope they put something together. Would love to see a big map, and some words and more of the concept art in a little tome.

Sorry I've never yet been able to get embedded images to work on these forums, just shows up with brackets like this... when I insert in the full editor hehe.

How do you get the images to pop up? Is it just a max size, no way to thumbnail?

On the ibb site, there is an option to copy the bbcode with url brackets.

It will look like this, minus all the spaces so that you can see the code.

Right on! Hehe thanks for the tip. This is the first forum I've joined that didn't allow me to attach images directly. Lets see then...

Well what do you know, my boxes showed up! Looks like that works! Forum mystery solved!

So yeah, I want a collector's eddition for BG3, so it can collect dust on it, like all the best things.
Like a work of art

Well now wait a minute here isn't that basically what we did when we bought the EA of BG 3? Most of the game is as of yet unfinished at all yet we paid the full price for it. Heck we don't even know if there will truly be an update come January and if that will contain more gameplay or just bug fixes or both? I'm hoping it's both and they finally get around to fixing the Feat and weapons bugs
