Meh. I rarely use spells with shadowheart, I don't sleep often so they are used primarily for fights that go south or bosses. I got her the weapon master feat and I do melee with her quite a bit using steelforged. With the feat she also has proficiency in heavy crossbows and I think rapiers. Mostly I use her spells for guiding bolt or healing word against tough bosses or of someone goes down.
To be honest I liked her better as a strength cleric because she could throw goblins and halflings with a 16 strength.
for sure you can do that as well. little suboptimal. +2 wisdom instead gives you an extra spell and +1 to hit with cleric spells(totalling out at +4)
