Hi All,

I am giving personal feedback and thoughts of the first hours in BG3 in chronological order :

  • Characters are still stupidly running into the fire when using the jump function.
  • On the Nautiloid, when running up the stairs, there is a cutscene where the character falls to the ground. However, when the game continues the character is standing again without ever standing up.
  • Handling the camera is still a bit clunkie. Especially, when you lower the camera close to the level of the characters head. Being able to look up would help a lot in several situations
(simulating to look around including especially looking up).
  • Tentacles of the downed ship can not be climbed nor can you balance on them, although it looks very much being possible. Please improve.
  • Broken canoe lies around. Of cause I tried to get it out of the river in order to repair it.
Very disappointing. Please provide the opportunity for more interaction, and be it that we may only use the canoe as another option for entering the crypt.
  • Barrels can not be used in lieu of a raft, or to repair the canoe.
  • Rocks should generally be climbable and not off limits, bare some special locations.
  • Could you provide all material with a data base upon which reaction possibilities with said material unfold? Such could be:
    - flammability
    - acid resistance
    - internal cohesion (resistance against being destroyed)
    - friction (a combination of friction, surface roughness, and steepness could provide a
difficulty grade for climbing. Internal cohesion deciding if it is safe to climb or if the rock will crumble). Etc.
  • An empty barrel can be but onto the wooden foot „bridge“ at the beginning of the beach but you can not jump onto it? Really? Please.
  • The talkative skeleton which leaves the coffin in the crypt, evaluating the worth of a mortals life, vibrates when meeting it on the left hand side in front of the stairs leading to its coffin. (BUG!)
  • You can not walk the roof of the downed ship, though it seams easily possible.
  • Why was the abjuration school hit with the nerf bat?
(School of Abjuration: The arcane ward originally has2*lvl + Int modifier hit points)
As is, becoming a blaster is the only viable choice for a wizard. Very sad indeed
  • Detecting the rock being out of place with a nature check. Sofar- so good. No char strong enough to lift it. OK, so let us find a lever. Searching for a wooden pole, a tree etc. Result: Nada.
Using Gale's staff? Nope. For real now?
  • Passing a rapier to Astarions inventory wrongly shows“not proficient“. However, this changes correctly when switching to Astarion's character.

So far for the observations and remarks from my side.
