It seems that the Absolute is whatever the host wants it to be. Goblins stopped worshipping Maglubiyet (who, in spite of being a cruel and bloodthirsty deity, still enforced at least some kind of discipline among them) and switched to Absolute that played along their every whim and kept feeding them ideas of gobbo supremacy. Even the caged Maglubiyet worshipper said that goblins shouldn't be enabled that much, it will destroy them. Also, the Absolute made drow turn their back on Lolth, which is a pretty big deal because one doesn't simply reject the Bitch Queen. So, I think, it's a sexlesss, genderless and endlessly manipulative entity.
