You should take a look at the meaning of the word objectively and then you will find that your statement is only an opinion of yourself but cannot be objectified in any way
From my experience, intelligent people (IRL, at least) try first to understand what is said, and to open conversation from what is said (when they are not directly offended).
Did you feel offended in any way ? Or did you need to seem intelligent ?
