This. I completely agree that the percentage-based display and the critical miss pop up is partly the cause people feel more cheated by the outcome. Also im not sure if its visible enough how your attack chances build up before you attack. Im not a huge fan of the simpler display and would prefer at least the option to see enemy ACs and my hit modifiers upon clicking on the action and hovering over the target, also it would be nice to see possible damage/effect vs enemy resistance. Just to give more info to the player about the systems working in the background so they can plan ahead with their attacks more effectively. Just my 2 cents though
