Does anyone know if you ever find a reason for that mysterious bent sword outside of Aleroth... the one that your character knows he/she has seen it before (in the dungeons under Aleroth) I also saw that bent sword in other areas in the game although I cannot remember where now. Anyway, it just seems strange that we make a note that we have seen it before and then not have any use for knowing... if that makes sense.

The reason you saw it before - it is the sword you character uses in the opening scene - when the cat finds you. I think that is the one...

i don't recall ever seeing a "bent sword".....

actually i remember someone saying, about the broken sword somewhere,

Correct Carrie. That is the sword you have in the opening scene. The man in the first house (just cant remember his name) tells you he found you, but had to leave your stuff behind. Well if you go back there you find the broken sword and an arrow (iirc).

u exit the town, and go to the NW corner of the map, he says, 'I seem to remember this sword.' or something like that IIRC.
