Will you buy an RPG just by the fact that it is an RPG?
How do you decide to buy an RPG?reviews,word of mouth, forums?
Do you cheat/ use hacks/editors?
Do you use walk throughs?
Do you download the latest patch before you start a game?
Do you prefer single character or party?
Do you prefer single player or multipalyer?
(1) i have no choice. i'm very poor in strategy, fps, and those other game genres. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
(2) mostly after trying out their respective demos.
(3) not all the time. only when i think that the game designers made the game more tedious than it should have been. for example, i used the ease-of-use mods by weimer (excellent btw) for baldur's gate ii and icewind dale ii. it made my experience w/ those games more pleasant rather than a chore to be finished.
(4) only when i don't know how to progress in the game anymore.
(5) absolutely!
(6) i prefer small parties of up to 3. 4 or more gives me a headache much worse than migraine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
(7) single player, except when i find a nice group to play with in multi, like the brief time i had playing w/ shyon and ube in d2.
