Morrowind really is one you either love or hate. The depth of the gameworld comes from (1)the history of the land (Which is found mostly in books in the game, so if you arent a reader, too bad <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />) (2)the detail of the graphics (From the models to the skins, everything fits), (3)and the world itself (Its sometimes just a blast to stop and look at the view).

The NPC's definatly lack (Cardboard cuttout) and the plot is so.....amorphous(?)....its hard to get involved in.

But if you can get past that and just play for the enjoyment of being part of the world (And trust me, invest that effort and it will be repaid) its like nothing else around. I have the advantage of having been familiar with the world of Tamriel since volume one, so I know a lot of the histories and cultures that makes the game atmospheric.

I really love Morrowind. I would not say its the best RPG I have ever played. There are many I love more. But not many I will play for as long.
