Morrowind ... good post.
I have got this game in a package with my Radeon video card. Sure, I have installed it to see my card work in all it's beauty.
I would say, that graphics impressed me. I mean water ! sand storms ! yay, they rocked!
As for gameplay and character animation I was a bit dissapointed. My brave hero looked like ugly, sick dude, and he moved as he was 120 years old. I didn't like how the combat system worked also. Sometimes I had to almost jump on a target to be able to hit it with my sword. And all the same ordinary swings all the time (no styles). Finally, I just got bored with this game. It seemed boring at that moment.
But, I will not say the game is bad. I think maybe I will even install it again one day and give it another chance. There are things that make me still feel about interested to play it more. And I haven't tried to ride on that huuge bug-transporter thingie. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
And it was super cool to be able to equip many different clothes and see every peace of cloth visible on character (I mean separately gloves, boots, leggings, etc).
I would say, now that I like Gothic II much much better. But, this is my humble opinion, so, Morrowind fans, please don't take it personally. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/kitty.gif" alt="" />
