Druids in the 5E Table Top is a top tier class in terms of power, so I'll expect that to carry through to BG3 too.
I can see the changes in BG3 affect the classes' power both positively and negatively (depending on how wildshape is implemented)
- Easy resting obviously benefits spellcasting and wildshape
- An abundance of magical item can make the opportunity cost of using wildshape higher (if you don't get wore item benefits - this one is a DM call in RAW. It looks like you can't use potions or anything else either in the gameplay)
- The wildshape's temp HP is less of an edge when healing is so widely available (e.g. yes, you have wildshape, but I have a barrel of cheese)
