i think this would be a better sugestion for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />2,; but here goes:

1. as an alternative then changing into a frog for rappid transport true the country side.
wouldn't it be great if you had a privite horse? and ride it? you couild even buy armor for the horse itself, and take more items with you

2. would it not be great if you could buy a merchant cart and making some good mony by selling / buying stuf the things you find?
or even better . you hire a house in a town. make this a shop. you put in the thing you find or loot. a hired merchant working for your shop will do the selling.
if you provide enough items too your shop on a regolary time basis , you will earn mutch more monney then if you would get to sell it to a smith yourself. you could even invest some barter skills for your merchant in your shop!

3. make the gilds more "deeper". you can get titels in the gilds you working for.
making these gilds more inported in the game
example: merchantst gilde: if you can sell /or have good profits from your shop <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Or when you steal more stuff you get titels in the thieves gild.

4. the animal statues were a verry good idea, but personaly it hasn't reached it's full potential.
will the be a place for the statues (or different ones) in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />2 with a higher functionality?
like the cat can sneak in places were otherwise the soldiers would stop you.
Or a "fish" statue to swim from one side of the river to the other side?
or maybe a bird statue?

5. will there be a "elite shop" were you can buy realy realy expensive armors / weapons? But verry good ones. like 250000 golds for a super amulet etc. this way the onces who steal every penny of the people and loot every weapon (even the broken onces) of the enemies can get a reward for it! (ths i realy like, because i take everything what's hanging loose )

6. is it possible too reward the perople who discover every spot on the map with more goodies. Like when you search on every rock , the chance of finding nice things under it is mutch higher.
Or just bring these rocks too a stone cutter who give you money for it?

7. it would be nice if you had a more balanced gameplay fo r the "evil" ones under us. if you have a bad reputation, you still can buy stuff instead of having no options to speak. what if people who ar eafraid of you just "give" you monny etc..?

a stomping horse hahahha
and the enemy should have calvary too sorta like the imp raiders in the wastelands except maybe not on spiders that was stupid who rides spiders?

about that Elite shop: the only stats that should be elite imho should be stats like damage and durabilty, high frost levels and stuff make them TOO powerfull so the elite has to be nicely balanced

I like the idea of the combat horse. If the horse earned a fracton of your experience points while you were mounted, it could learn to add to the combat, increasing your land speed, defence, and melee. Could it also jump enemies, fences and baracades? It would be a terrible shame if it got killed though. What about horse armour?

I don't think the cart is necessary as long as you have the teleport stones.

I agree that the animal statuettes should have more of a use. But by that same token, they should be harded to get. You should only be able to receive each one in one of two places in the game, like the castle invitation. Once you earn the statuette, you can attempt the quest you require it for.

WoW some nice ideas building here eh? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

combat horse that gain exp as well, total player interaction w/ horse <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
you could never let it get killed....... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />

or would there be like a stable to recruit horses and saddles
and rigging for the horses, maybe food and horseshoes,
grain and apples....and of course horsie armor...

...made by our man Geoff...... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

and what about the "charms".
i remember some discussion on the way.
but would it be nice if you put in a charm the value of your armor goes up? or a way to remove the charms by a wizzard , (for a price) so that you can use them again...
and more sorts of them..

About the stutues , i agree totaly, a sort of stutue can "unlock" a different part of the map. that would be something like aquiring "the gost form" in the wastelands to get over the river..

i think that the elite shop would have fixt stats. made by the larians. no randomly generated armor. but a gallery with the dinest armor in the world for the right price. is not that you can buy it at level 15 or soo...
a player has too work verry hard to earn that amount of monney too buy it..

A shuopkeeper's morale goes down if you try to sell him / her rubbish ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

By the way: I don't remember female Shopkeepers in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> !

You got something against home businesses, or what? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />
Corinna sells all kinds of stuff, including silver charms, spell books, jewelry, etc.
Mpenzak doesn't have a shop either, he just stands around outside the inn. At least Corinna has storage space. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Somebody mentioned people getting annoyed if you sell them crap stuff. I was thinking that you cannot sell some things to certain merchants (eg. potions to an armour dealer), or that they give you very poor prices. This would be more realistic, but it might annoy players having to go to five different merchants just to off-load their loot.

it's a point,... but wouldn't it be just a little too convienent,
to have it all at one shop!...... i dunno...kinda makes it too easy....... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

Well that's what we have at the moment. Who here doesn't use Geoff as a drop off point for all their loot. He has a fortune in gold and once your reputation with him is good, he pays great prices for everything. Shouldn't he be only interested in weapons, and perhaps semi-interested in armour?

I like the concept of an elite shop, here's a couple of ideas.

The shop should be very exclusive, ie it should not look like a shop from the outside and the only way you can find it is iether by just stumbling across it, or by being told it's location by an NPC who you have befriended and who thinks you have 'the right stuff' to be a customer.
It should have a doorman in an antechamber who will not let you enter unless you demonstrate the great weight of your gold-purse.

Once inside you should be able to pick from amongst several superb off the peg armour/weapons/items, OR for those who are truly rolling in cash, you should be able to order custom bespoke armour/weapons/items. Which will have whatever mix of stats, charms and augmentations you want (and can afford).

Naturaly in such a shop the salesman is fawnyer than a field of deer.

It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
