I dislike the UI and there are some good suggestions here.

I hate how temporary actions like "hurl produce flame" or "recast witch bolt" go somewhere in the hotbar and you have to look for them. The hotbar without any sorting is just horrible. We need sorting for temporary actions, consumables, spells and abilities so you know where things are without having to scan that awful mess of a hotbar every time. It's only going to get worse with every level up. You also need to quickly be able to see what "per short rest" or "per encounter" abilities you have available. And you can't while they are buried somewhere in that confusing mess. This is much more important than adding a new class to the game.

I also hate how casting a spell at it's base level takes two clicks because of the container style upcasting. You need to be able to cast the base spell with one click and click somewhere else to upcast them. Or a well sorted spellcasting menu where you first select the spell level. It can then list all the upcast options after the base spells. That requires as many clicks but would be much better organized to quickly find what you want, instead of the hotbar where everything is thrown in together in one big confusing mess.

The party control is also horrible. An easy upgrade would be a chain/unchain all -button and hotkey. That said, I never had any issues with controlling the party in BG1&2 where you could marquee select or press a button to select all, without any "follow" options. Larian's movement scheme is just exhausting to control without characters running around like headless chickens triggering traps and encounters and whatnot.
