Or a well sorted spellcasting menu where you first select the spell level. It can then list all the upcast options after the base spells.
I thought about such an option in the first place, but then stopped on the separate upcast menu version, because I decided that as a player who plays mages super-rarely I would like to see all options of the same thing in the same place for comparison.
