or however yo say it a massively multiplayer online role playing game
I know it would probably be expensive for the network and crap but you can use the same graphics engine and it could be just as interactive with the environment
the world needs to be huge like the entire world of whatever its called you know the one that divinity is set in so ill just call it divinity world
and you could be more than just a warrior in this you could be a merchant a miner or whatver you wanna be
you will need npc's too though not just players
o my god it could be ssoooo awesome hahahaha
make one now
you can make it sorta like ultima online except different cause it was way too hard to develop your characters in ultima online and plus the graphics werent very good and so if you use the same engine or kinda the same engine it will still look awesome have quests and stuff that npc's can give you if you want em you may need some random generator
you can have things like you have to escort someone to a diffeent town or kill someone for em or steal somethin
you can join the assasins guild and you kill or capture people there are bounties on or just murderers or you can like join warriors guild and get some awesome unique weapon or armor for passing the tests to join
and you mst make it to where players can start thier own guilds and such and you need boats and horses and you should be able to tame animals hell even be a sheep shepard or something and have it to where you can sheer the sheep and sell thier wool have dungeons where dragons and stuff are supposed to be and make it super hard to get to em and killem and when you do killem there is a ton of treasur and armor and stuff and it raises your reputation
you can still have the same lvl sytem pretty much but have more skills
and make it a little harder to lvl you dont nessisarily have to base it on expierience points but you can
anyways that is another suggestion that i think with work can be turned into a seriously awesome game
and if you come out with a game like this Larian studios you better include me in the beta and give me a free copy of the game and make it free for me to play cause i know a massively multiplayer game will cost per month
anyways im done now

*looks for punctuation*

*finds none*

You don't like Punctuation, I take it. Really, he's not so bad once you get to know him. Invite him for a tea or something. I'll even pay. He gets along well with Spelling. Would you like me to introduce you to them both?

Oh, and DD as a MMORPG probably won't be any better or worse than the ones out there. It also costs a lot and is a big risk. If it goes fubar, Larian'd be on its way to its deathbed. MMORPG business is a competitive market. Quite a number of MMORPGs have been complete failure, or nearly so. Look at buggy crap like Anarchy Online. Plus, when a game tries to be too much, if often fails on everything. I have yet to find a RPG with a truly engaging story that is more original than the usual fantasy cliches (not exactly never-seen-before original, just something less banal), good execution of said story, memorable characters, and a nice balance of combat that offers real tactical challenges. None. RPGs that have claimed to be this usually aren't.

Lastly, most MMORPGers don't pay attention to detail. They could care less about story or NPC interaction; most are there for ph4t l3wtz and leveling treadmill.

Yes, but in the middle ages here in Europe people ( I mean mostly monks in Abbeys) didn't use punktuation either.

[Linked Image] good one jvb. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> And to make it a mmorpg would cost one hell of a lot of money. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
