So...I was under the impression that a Warlock with Devil's Sight could stay within the darkness and attack creatures both inside the darkness and outside. Potentially, this would also result in advantage on attack rolls since you are an unseen target (at least the first eldritch blast ray).
However, it seems that while I am immune from the darkness effect, I need to leave the darkness in order to attack anyone outside of it. In addition, it seems I can't even attack creatures inside it.
There are still advantages to using it, I can step outside, attack and then step back in, however I don't know if that is worth one of a Warlock's spell slots *and* concentration.
So is this the intended effect?
