Helloooo,

Does anyone else feel that the Druid get-up is kind of stuffy? I get that Larian's trendsetters were going for an armour that evoked a tree, and they succeeded -- from the "crown" of leaves adorning the shoulders of the druids to the leather roots dangling between their legs and the branch and leaves details, the texture of the boots... that part was spot on!

And eagle-eyed lore fans will have noticed that Auntie Ethel's real shape as a Green Hag mirrors the Druidic clothes, only that she has plants and ferns sprouting directly from her shoulders and back. This makes sense, as legend goes that the first Green Hag was a powerful druid cursed by the same woods that she had sworn to defend.

I do love how Kagha's shoulder leaves kind of wither when she's defeated / changes allegiance, that was a fantastic choice to show her sadness and regret.

However, it does look like it's "Druid-formalwear" instead of their everyday garb.

Still, it looks too pretty and formal, particularly compared to the AMAZING feral and sexy armour and full body tattoos of the Shadow Druids, who look like vampiric picts. These are not displayed to full effect because Colodan & Co. are halflings, but they seem more appropriate for everyday wood-protecting, wild-shaping, hiding in the bushes, taking a dip in Silvanus' Pool, repelling humanoid invaders and other druidic activities. I would love to see my char wearing that.

Unless you get to wear the cool Underdark Drow armour with the Menzoberranzan helmet, or steal Lae'zel's half-plate... yeah. It's a STYLE thing.

I'd settle for my druid keeping her armor on. For some reason if she shapeshifts back from the rothe which has been buffed with mage armor, only the shoulder pads are displayed. laugh

Far cry from Pliny's white robes hehe.

I wish they'd put the serious energy into diverse equipment and armor models, so we'd have more cosmetic options for each. I never much liked the idea of a class uniform. If the regular equipment just looks all kinda the same, then that gives up on aesthetic progression of regular equipment as a thing and forces the game to immediately start throwing enchanted stuff around as a way to differentiate it from the regular models. I'd like to see Fine/Keen equipment introduced before magically enchanted +1 stuff too. In 1998 sure, having just one suit of leather or chainmail made sense, but two decades later with as far as we've come elsewhere, I'd love to see like a dozen different variants for everything including regular clothing for the unarmored appearance. More fashion

Also will we ever be able to select our Major and Minor colors?

Maybe somebody wants the Druid armor more in black than green, something simple like that could go a long way. You know it would be instantly popular

Choosing colors was another touchstone from BG1/2 that I feel is being kinda ignored in BG3. I want to change colors on the fly for the avatar. I wish there was a dedicated appearance tab for that, and for anything purely cosmetic that happened at char creation too. For faces and hair and makeup etc. This would encourage EA players to mess around as they go, instead of just at the beginning of the run. Especially to catch stuff like clipping, which should be cleaned up. For example, the long sword on the Elf model wearing the Druid Armor clips into the posterior whenever they do the shoulder roll pant in place sort of thing. It would be cool for tracking the animations for those weapons to always foreground. I don't really mind that weapon on the back, but I wish there were scabbards for things. Or just a way to hide everything outside of combat. Game could also use some flourishing stuff, just to swing the weapon around in a cool way for show. Always a winner

Me too, I'm never replacing that outfit on my druid characters, it's amazing.

What concerns me most about the druid outfit is that my pathetic stick arms looks so awful in them.

+1
yes, beautifully designed. I liked the short sleeves.

I agree. This is always what I think when I see the druid armor. Doesn't matter how strong I am.

Meanwhile, Halsin's looking awful buff. I'm hoping body type is something that can be modified later.

The druid armor IS beautiful, and a huge improvemet over that haze of beige that is the Oakfather's Embrace. I like the tree-like design. I just would like to have slightly more punk options that are already in-game, but for the "bad guys" hehe

Same as I absolutely love the clean-cut ponytails in character creation, they are my go-to... but have you SEEN the amazingly messy, twisty ponytails of the Harpies? I want that, I need that. Mine.

Yeah, I would love more options too - and give the otehr classes the druid treatment and give them a bit more signature-like armors.

It would also be nice to have a full preview at char creation and when considering equipment purchases. I'd especially like that for hair. Its one of those situations where something might look rad, but then you see it in game and it clips or looks weird from behind or when animated. Like maybe the pony looks great when its still, but bounces weird. Or maybe the armor looks slick but then the tassles are clipping into the figure when they walk. Clipping through the ears is my pet peeve for hair lol. Harpy hair looks badass though. Some more wild updo's to go with the armor would be rad.

I'd like there to be a dress up mode where you can see the stuff animated as if in game, in a studio/stage environment. I'd also like to change the color of the armor, and my hair too, but don't feel like restarting and playing through the prologue again right now for that lol

What do you think of Nettie's armor? She has a sort of in-between design, maybe you can steal it talk to her tailor. wink

I would love to have custom armor for all the other classes, but I'm not holding out hope it'll happen.
