I just re-started to play this game, since it's cool, I decided to play even if it's full of bugs. What I want to know is this:

I know that it helps playing in 16 bits and with the sound driver acceleration down one notch but it's very unpleasant to do it every time I want to start the game. You know, I have other programs and other games that I like to play in 32 bits and with sound maxed out. Is there a way in Windows XP to configure the shortcut so it runs automatically in 16bits and lower the sound acceleration one notch ONLY for DivDiv ? It would be very cool cause it's a real pain to do it everytime.

I'm pretty sure Raze or Lynn would have an answer about this one or anyone else, please let me know. Thanks a lot.

I played with my desktop in 32 bit colour and my hardware sound acceleration maxed (under Win98SE). You could try that, unless you run into problems. I am not very familiar with XP. Can you setup a different profile for playing Divinity with the lower graphics/sound settings? If so, that might be easier than finding the command line options for making a batch file to make these changes. There are likely utilities for doing stuff like this. I vaguely recall looking at a toolbar program that was originally designed for games.... Let me know if you have problems leaving the graphics/sound settings maxed, and I will take a look for a suitable work-around (unless someone else knows an easy way to do this in XP).

Well yes, now my game is all screeewed up. Its in the quests. There's some bugs in the journal. There are some unfinished quests that has disapeared and some old ones that I've already complete reappeared (with this strange thing logged as day 0, hour 126858158 (a lot of numbers) ) This is very weird. It was a game I played with the patch 1.32 updated to 1.34, why does it do this? I even cleaned the dynamic folder but my quests are still screeewed. If someone knows what to do, please help me.

A couple people have mentioned quests disappearing or reappearing in the log. I've never seen the problem of the date being listed like that (though I don't know how many people pay attention to the conversation log).
