Also, it'd been bugging me for a while now, can I please just point out the stupidity of a Druid grove that allegedly has multiple high level Druids in it, but somehow no one in the fucking place knows the create food and water spell?
Magic resources are still limited resources. Every time they cast Goodberry they can't casting Cure Wound or Speak with Animals that they could be using to attend to their actual druid duties.
And as with ALL games the populations we see are massively scaled down. There's likely way more tieflings than we visibly see on the map. Druid groves tend to be very sparsely populated so as not to have a big impact on nature. Then the refugee population of a city rolls in with what are probably dozens, if not hundreds, of hungry mouths seeking sanctuary. The druids can support them for a time but not indefinitely and supporting them directly interferes with the druids being able to carry out their sacred duties to the surrounding ecosystem.
Basically being able to conjure food magically doesn't necessarily equal infinite food. If the game is telling us the druids can't support them we should take that as a fact and not just assume the druids aren't using all the skills in their toolkit because they're lazy.
