Fortunately, familiarity with the 5e rules is not really required or helpful for determining if you'll get sneak attack in this game, so that's one issue solved, I guess.

A problem worth noting instead is that even if you meet the requirements that this game dictates and describes for it itself, you often will not get it anyway.

For example: If you do NOT have advantage, and you sneak-attack-shoot at an enemy that you have an ally engaged with, the game tells you that this is valid for sneak attack, however, you will NOT get sneak attack in this situation.
