Given how easy it is to gain advantage in BG3, would making True Strike a Bonus Action actually make it overpowered, or just make it a viable Cantrip for melee classes to take?

Viable cantrip for melee ?
At the moment melee don't have to use any bonus actions to get advantage and/or they can use the jump.

Why would it be better to spam truestrike instead of jumping ? (Except that it would look a bit less ridiculous).

The cheap core mechanic of advantage in BG3 doesn't allow anything from D&D related to advantage to shine.

If they don't plan to rework it, better remove truestrike, faery fire, reckless attack and so on or players are going to use totally useless/underpowered things and complain about the difficulty.

Might be a little strong? There are enough circumstances where either enemies have their backs covered, or are dug into a high position that the ease of casting True Strike would push it onto the realm of somewhat overpowered.

That said it would be by no means the biggest balance issue.

True Strike is perfectly fine in a world where you dont get advantage for free just for being behind or above an enemy. If there is one valid criticism that I have heard consistently from players giving feedback, it is that advantage is too easy to obtain.
