THANK YOU to the person who told me about holding down the Alt Key. I can't find your comment to thank you properly, but hopefully you read this post.

Also, this post is for all who don't know about holding down the Alt Key to do a quicker search of the immediate area around your character. Alt highlights objects you can see and labels them. It isn't perfect, but I found it is very helpful. It lets you know, too, when a body is empty as well as if a container you have searched already is empty. It doesn't highlight mundane items or food. Just things like books, weapons, etc.

I've had multiple posts where I brought up an Auto-Search function of some kind, and only 1 person has told me about the Alt key.

So my suggestion is, Larian, please include Alt Key functionality in the Tutorial and maybe loading screen tips. This functionality is a HUGE change in gameplay for me. I no longer feel like I'm playing a Hidden Objects game.

I've been playing this game for 300+ hours and never knew it existed. Didn't find it anywhere in the Options Keybind section either, so I had no idea it existed. I've never played DOS 1 or 2, so I don't have that experience either, which is why the person who mentioned the Alt key said what he/she did. Because they'd played DOS, they knew the Alt key was a thing.
