Hey, I did not plan on making this thread, but for some time now I have been creating BG3 memes and decided to share. If somebody doesn't like them I want to apologize in advance. I just enjoy making digital edits and BG3 is a bottomless well of ideas. If anyone wishes to add their own memes, feel free to do it.
Hahaha, unfortunately I suck at making memes, but I certainly enjoy watching them. I am just here to tell you guys (and other creative minds that might be reading this) : keep it up!
Hoot hoot, stranger! Fairly new to CRPGs, but I tried my best to provide some feedback regardless! <3 Read it here: My Open Letter to Larian
On this meme you could atach litteraly any head (some animals included) to "lady in red" since they all are more interesting than "offended by your breathing" dramaqueen Shadow.
I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are!
Thanks. I've made another yesterday with one of the newest templates from Invincible. Basic Tav and Gale. Enemy AI for some reason just loves to attack Gale. Meme template: Think, Mark think!

Ahahah, now I also have everything going for Gale as a reoccuring problem. I relate to this meme on a spiritual level.

That's Planescape, though. Funny, but not fair. Difference wouldn't be nearly as stark when compared to BG1&2.
I suppose it's more of what I think of when I think High-Budget RPG vs. what I get. Also not fair, as for better of for worse, Larian focuses on systemic depth rather then complex manual dialogue trees.
Maybe they should go to the abyss instead, cause no lawful creature, like a devil, would break one of the fundamental laws of the universe. A chaotic evil demon however...
I would like to encourage you to repost this image to several threats on this forum ... Even tho i presume moderators would not welcome it. So ... please dont.

Tav's hardest struggle (Based on the data from Larian who the gamers sided with - Tieflings vs Goblins few patches ago - Now it's old but I post memes on Reddit)
I made this one back in a day after Panel From Hell 2, where basic Tav appeared but with bad haircut. ((Larian how could you guy give basic Tav such a bad haircut. It's not our choice.))
The days when games were made not only by developers, but also artists, who cared about the details in their games, and made for those who cared about details in the games they played. RIP. Those hand-drawn sketches of items, and the detailed item history, are such a beautiful thing...
"We make our choices and take what comes and the rest is void."
I do kinda miss the lore associated with many items and the little stories with them sometimes.
The only game I can think off the top of my head that captures a similar feeling is Dark Souls, mainly cause half the lore is in item descriptions in that game series.
I never managedd to get over it. Let's drive the ship in the middle of the most populated city. Like...idk. Wasn't it easier to mind control someone and send him in the city if you needed someone in particular? Eh.
Alt+ left click in the inventory on an item while the camp stash is opened transfers the item there. Make it a reality.

If I am understanding the cutscene correctly, the population of the city didn't matter at all. They absolutely steamrolled through it and picked up the people they needed to pick up. The issue is that Githyanki tracked them (which the Gith typically don't care much about Faerun cities) and attacked the ship with dragons. that said, escaping to hell of all places was probably the dumbest idea. Only place worse would have been the Abyss.

Well it was an innovative way to suicide. Ngl.

Im not sure if i understand this sentence ... Do you imply that they were picking people? Since it seemed more like harvesting to me, just roll through and grab litteraly everything that gets in the way.
But now im thinking about another theory! - we know that tadpoles that was picked up from THAT caudron (or w/e you wish to call it) was special ... - we know that this alterned tadpoles can remain dormant for unspecified period of time ... - we know that this alterned tadpoles can turn their victims by "pulling the lever" ... - we know that Nautiloids are extremely rare ... yet this Flayer of Mind was flying it to hugely populated area ... Concidering this all ... What if, that actualy WAS harvest? What if all those people was tadpoled, in the past ... needed to be harvested and delivered to Moonrise Towers, so their "True Soul" potential is awakened? O_o Would that explain why risk such rare thing as Nautiloid? o_O

But we know they were not after the ship itself ... but after someone (actualy something) that was onboard! Kithrak said so, when we meet their patrol! So, i presume they indeed didnt care about Faerun city, at all actualy.

The question is how that teleportation works ... What if (and i know this is wild theory) ... somewhere nearby was in the same time created falling whale? Or petunia flowerpot? But I guess in that case, Mind Flayer would have a towel around his neck. :-/

I liked this art as well, but is interesting to see how the original art portraited mundane characters. They didn't have idealized these superhero facial features.
Edwin : Should I be flaterred or amused you're still talking about me after all these years? * Those creatures are certeinly not even remotely good for anything. Yes, yes. They aren't.*

Was Edwin really a Red Wizard? He still had his hair, no tattoos, and none of the Thayans we interacted with seemed to verify his rank/position.
According to the wiki:
According to BG2:EE dialogue with Rasaad, Edwin keeps his hood on at all times because he has trouble properly shaving his head in the Thayan fashion. This is unusual enough for Neera to call him a "non-bald Thay".
So he is a red wizard, but fitting his personality he is kinda bad at fitting in and meshing with them.

You find some thayan wizards in the Spider woods in BG1 that seem to recognize him. If you have him in your party they speak with you and do not fight with your group.

It reminds you how BG1-2 managed to create some really memorable and well-written characters, with strong, consistent, and relatable personality, even with such big roster and never going all that deep into anyone. Edwin is the awkward villain that is evil but not so evil and tends to fumble doing all his evil things, making him endearing and entertaining to have around. Especially with his "trouble" in BG2. It helps (or doesn't it?) that he's OP as heck in-game. Tbh I've always felt bad for him considering his ending after ToB.

Tbh I never understood his ending. Regardless of his form he keeps his powers so not sure why he straight up gave up on being a mage.

His ending only mentions how he ends up and what led to it, but doesn't mention what really is wrong with him, other than his form being changed. We can still theorize a lot. There can be good reasons why he had to work in a tavern like that, but that doesn't mean he has really given up on his quest for power, and his situation may very well be temporary. I can imagine maybe Elminster sealed his power in some manner and Edwin's tavern work could be a punishment, to teach him some humility. They might have agreed that that would be Edwin's punishment if he lost their supposed duel, and it's possible Edwin had asked for some very powerful item, or "2000 years and a pointy hat" if he won.

Despite the cruel irony of Edwin's fate he got of lucky. Had he tried the same with Blackstaff, Mordenkainen, the Seven Sisters, Dalamar, Manshoon, Baba Yaga, Iggwilv(Tasha) or any of the other OP Archmagi in the D&d setting death would be a mercy. It's also these people who inspire me to play as a Wizard.
Hello everyone! I made a short funny video about BG3. It's a video from my campaign in which I hang out with Astarion the night after defeating the goblins. I know being a video and not an image this may not be the perfect thread to share it, but actually I think this creation of mine could be kind of a meme.
I hope you like it and if that's the case tell me what you think about it!
100% "true" story how Tav ended up being Tav Before Baldur's Gate 3 was officially announced the game was in production under the codename Project Gustav and the rest is history. Now you know.
I'm uploading a meme that I created which inadvertently angered several people. I chose Tiefling as a template because that's my second favourite non-human race (after aasimars, but they aren't in the game). I made this meme as a joke. Basic Tav is cleric but people still insist on calling the defualt Tav a fighter. That's why a fighter. It's kinda spoiler(ish) so I put a spoiler tag.
I agree that they have little to do with BG3 aside from being about D&D. I quite enjoyed them, so I do kinda hope there will be more.. Or a link to the source. (since you should always credit an artist)

I planned to release them bit by bit so that Users have a good time to wait for Act 2 or something. Can link you the original artist if you really want it. But then you might binge watch it all. So~ are't thou really sure thy want the scource? ^_^
And yeah as you noticed the connection is that it is D&D, which is a connection to the "Baldurs Gate 3 Meme" format.
I dont want to seem rude ... but i probably will right now. :-/ Those comics are funny, quite nice drawn, and everything ...
But i kinda fail to see any relations to "BG-3 memes" :-/
Drow and Drow society, which has a semi-major/minor role in BG3 right now. BUt, as it stands its only partially related as a meme because we haven't actually been to any major Drow places or seen Drow social structure yet. (Unless you replace that lady with Minthara and the guy with Tav...)
Ok, i try to say it more clearly ... PERSONALY I would appreciate, if this kind of topic get to separate topic named "nice and funny DnD comics, not related to this game at all" or something like that.

Are Elves and drows really this horny in DnD? I mean, I get drow after reading about their society. But Elves as well?
Elves generally have this reputation in fantasy of being aloof sexless prudes that the hero(s) finds attractive. So the joke in the comics is they're desperate 'incelfs' that nobody is interested in.
yea i'm just going to start reporting these, they're not memes and they're not about Baldur's Gate.
They should probably go in their own topic in the chat forum as it's a bit of a stretch to say they have anything to do with BG3. I may attempt to tidy things up another day when I'm less migraine-addled but as it's quite laborious, no more, please. And some of this stuff is venturing into soft porn territory; let's not go there.
It was the default vaultdweller post they did yes. To be honest.. that Tav face with the haircut, reminds me of David (Michael Fasbender) from Prometheus/Covenant xD.

They live to be like 900 and their population is being overrun by humans. This theory works, or perhaps they just hate children.
"I dedicated 100 years of my life to that worthless brat...I'm done!"
“But his mind saw nothing of all this. His mind was engaged in a warfare of the gods. His mind paced outwards over no-man's-land, over the fields of the slain, paced to the rhythm of the blood's red bugles. To be alone and evil! To be a god at bay. What was more absolute?”
This is way creepier than it should be. Like she's not really alive and being controlled by something, or like she's about to transform into some sort of monstrosity.

btw how do I post a picture in the thread? I tried a method from the "help&tips" thread but it's not a picture in my comment no matter what link I post.

I just had interesting graphical bug today ... And then i noticed i have seen that before.
//Edit ... Also ... there is one older picture, if they were looking for Female vocalist:
This is extreme, but there has been too much light inside creatures mouths since day one. The ogres especially. I was hoping the lighting overhaul would fix this…
Long time no see. I've made something quick because why not:
While creating this at first I thought the roles should be reverse. BUT in the end I decided that Tav is a Chad, so he needs the recognition. I meant it as a joke, of course.
My boyfriend when he was playing EA asked me why Lae'zel is angry at him when he didn't want to romance her during the party when he never flirted with her before. This inspired me to make this joke.
If a DM cannot be wrong it doesn't he/she can't be bad. True, a DM CAN overrule anything in the game, even make goblins poop a Wish scroll every 6 hours. And players CAN stop playing with the DM and find another one.
Rules are rules for a reason. Many smart and experienced people spent many years coming up with them. Yes, if a DM had lead several campaigns already they can understand what their players want and homebrew something.
But jumping from 0 to changing the core rules when you literally have 0 experience as a DM (Larian case) is just arrogant.

Couldn't of said it better myself. Rag just doesn't seem to understand that. And do good memes lol.
Seen this on Larian's twitter. A short discussion regarding the ice statue from the latest Panel from Hell. Ngl made me instantely think about Icelyn lol.

Not exactly a meme ... but maybe someone finds it funny.
Few days ago i reinstalled Fallout 4 ... And every single freaking time i see there "purified water" ... i hear Priestes Gut telling me "Drink this, it will purify ya".

Thank you very much. I don't upload new things very often because my main meme topic is generic Tav himself. But I don't think Larian loves him as much as I do (just joking, I just want to be tiresome to people haha)
But ok, I have here something that is overdue:
He's sooo fine. I slapped some photoshop on Astarion's mirror scene.
