It is probably appropriate to reiterate here that this forum is for feedback of all flavours.
This will take the form of praise for those aspects of the game that appeal to you, suggestions for new features, and constructive criticism of those aspects you dislike. Everyone plays the game differently and everyone has a different definition of their perfect game.
Nothing should be taken personally and there is no excuse for attacking someone because they hold different views. This includes sly digs, sarcasm and using words like 'fanboy' and 'apologist'. You should also avoid assuming that you speak for some mythical majority when putting forward your case.
Larian do have representatives who read these forums and take feedback. The best way to be heard is to be civil and constructive, whether positive or critical; simply shouting that you hate the game, are demanding a refund, or leaving posts insulting Larian and its employees is an excellent way to be labelled a chronic malcontent and be ignored or skipped over.
If I have ever been viewed this way I want to know. I sincerely have only ever wanted to make suggestions to make the game better.
Is there maybe a way we could remind players out here of this? I have gotten to the place where I am about ready to give up on suggesting anything because people are treating suggestions as if they are complaints. I get that some really are just out here bashing everything, but just because I am saying I think something isn't working well people think Im angrily attacking the game when Im not. I can't tell you how many times I've posted I love this game. If Larian changes nothing I'd be happy, but people even ignore that I say this and accuse me of complaining and such. I've seen it with other's posts too. Not just mine. So hostile.
And Steam is worse. I gave up posting on Steam. My goodness. I suggested that maybe the game could add a day/night feature and you would think I suggested something truly horrible. So much attack and people speaking for Larian about what they can and cannot do.
I'm seriously thinking of not posting any more ideas. It's toxic, even when you give compliments. I said one time that the game is great and let's forget doing anything further with the game and just have Larian give us more content. Got my head bit off.
