Hi everyone ! I'm nexw to this forum, so I'm not sure I'm opening this thread in the right place, if not, I'm sorry ! I've done a quick search about Halsin and I haven't found anything about romancing him. So I started this thread to ask whether he will be romancable or not ? I mean, Minthara is romancable, but this hot bear elf druid is not ? :'( Any one got a clue ? It's even more frustrating wheen he says he will accompagny you through your journey to HighMoon towers, please make him more than just a hot guy to chitchat with.

As far as I am aware, no. Unfortunately not. But you are not the first one to bring this up, so with a little luck - Larian might change their mind and either give us Halsin, or give us something similar to compensate

Well considering his design, and the fact that he is likely gonna follow us through the entire journey, it would be super frustrating ! It wouldn't be that much of a deal if he just stayed at the grove after we save dhim, but here he comes with my PC and teases her to death ! ^^

I was also disappointed, especially considering I am not really a fan of our current romance options (for my particular character, I do not mind the characters as a player ). If I remember correctly (but I might be mistaken, this conversation took place many months ago), people were confused about the fact that Halsin does not only tag along on the ride, but he also has a completely unique model that has been *REMADE* from the first data-mined versions. Most of us couldn't understand why they'd go through all of that work unless he is meant to become a proper companion later on - or something else. But as far as I am aware, we know nothing for certain about him right now. So unfortunately, the best reply I have is that we'll simply have to wait and see. But I also hope we'll get him in our party permanently - simply because I adore druids, they make for excellent companions due to their versatility! Can't say I'd turn down him as a romance option either. :']

I'm not so sure. Spoilers so look at your own risk. According to datamine: Haslin has a wife and daughter. They are tied to the shadow curse and a few area's in act 1 B which is not available right now. This could have very well changed since I last checked though so who knows.

The datamining I have seen for Halsin has been very vague with lots of speculation and seems to change every patch.

I am quite the truth seeker. To many lives built on lies. If you don't want to know, don't ask. I actually tend not to say anything unless asked too.
Haslin's story has been quite consistent. Some books in EA talk about him. I forgot where.

I'm a straight male looking at Halsin always hanging around thinking, "Why does he have to torture me by being so hot, present, and unavailable?" Doesn't help he's like the first genuinely good and good natured person we meet without some major skeleton in his closet (for now at least).

Isn't that a skeleton? He said, that he was among those, that did stop the dark justiciars, but that they were too late to stop the curse. Halsin feels responsible for the curse because of that, but I don't think, it counts as a skeleton. He was genuinly trying to stop something evil and in the end, he at least partly suceeded.

Halsin is the guy at a job interview when you ask him what his biggest weakness is and he says he cares too much.

Definitely a skeleton. Don't ask. See, it sounds weird and counter intuitive. Oh well.

This was in the notes for Patch 4: Updated text of Halsin's Shadowcursed research journal to remove references to killing Isobel.

Ha I forgot they removed a lot of spoilers in the early weeks. They have been systematic about what you can find in datamine ever since. Too late though I've seen most of it lol.
I'm convinced that they want as many players to be evil to the point that they hide and skew the image of many characters both ncp and companions. Maybe trying to manipulate a shock factor? I think if thats the case it will backfire.
