+1 totally agree. I've actually said this very same thing. They will PROBABLY do this eventually since there is a Character Select button during dialogues, but right now it is not working. If they don't do this, I will be very upset.

We NEED to be able to switch between characters and have different dialogue options and allow different characters the ability to use their skills during conversations. So if my Main has better Religion than Shadowheart, I want my Main to use their skill in dialogues. If Astarion has better Deception, I need to be able to use his Deception skill.

Right now, any time I switch between party members they are running around doing whatever while my Main is conversing.

Along these lines, too, the game world needs to pause during these conversations. During the Hag fight, I killed the Hag and was speaking to her corpse. Wyll ran through a poison cloud during the conversation and almost died. I barely noticed he was dying because I heard him gasping and scream in pain. I would have had to either reload or use a revivify scroll because he was stupid enough to run through a poison cloud in order to try to get to where my main was all while I was having a conversation with a dead corpse.

This kind of thing has happened numerous times when dialogues are triggered. Not only are characters not involved in conversations when they should be but they do stupid things like trigger other fights and such while I'm having a conversation. I get that Larian is going for freedom here, that other characters can maybe sneak around while someone is distracted and all, but it hurts the game more than it helps, in my opinion. If one character is involved in a conversation, the whole party should be involved.

I've even had special dialogues skipped because of this. Example: Wyll was in my party, but he never interrogated the goblin captain at the windmill simply because he was sneaking or just a smidge too far away. He was at the bottom of the stairs one time when I defeated the captain, and he didn't interrogate him because he was too far away. If he's in my party, he should have been involved unless I left him somewhere REALLY far away.
