What is better then killing a bunch of Goblins?

Killing a bunch of Orcs! Last time I looked at D&D Orcs were listed as "Common". We have seen a lot of "uncommon to Rare" foes so far. But come on, If I don't to kill a bunch of Orcs at their Orc camp, I am going to be upset!

Everyone loves killing Orcs, I hope they don't miss this one.

This is something we already discussed a lot and your summary is good...
Goblins are probably planned to be 1 or 2 encounters a bit further at some random location.

I really miss common creatures in this first act. Again, if everything is special nothing really is.

Players usually don't care fighting minotaurs or red caps rather than wolves and kobolds if encounters are engaging.

If we get Orcs, I hope they will be more brutal and scary and far less comical and hairstyled than the Goblins.

Brutal and scary, exactly you get it. I thought they did the Goblins well, but could have done it better. Just need to drag this company more to "scary, serious, brutal" and away from "high Fantasy, talking chickens, robots and Cartoonish stuff"

You can have "comical stuff " in a serious game, in fact it works better in a more serious brutal environment, just cant cross that line when its to much and just looks stupid. For example phantom menace jar jar binks. Everyone hated Jar Jar it was comic relive gone to far.
