After releasing Halsin i killed two out of three golbin leaders (Spoke only with Hobgoblin beforehand), excluding Minthara cause I pretended to be on her side and she left to prepare the attack. Now I have a little problem because Halsin is not appearing in the Grove, Minthara disappeared without a trace and I don't have any option to warn refugees about the attack. I'm afraid that the only way to push story forward is to actually kill temporary druid leader, but I'd rather not do that. Has anyone experienced similar bug?

I killed the druids but it didn't help at all. I have Grove's gate marked as quest location, however nothing is there.

Did you long rest in between sending Minthara to raid the grove and actually going to the grove to meet Halsin/prepare for the attack?

I think there's something weird in the game where doing ^ results in Halsin being (secretly) flagged as dead. Especially if you told Halsin to remain at the goblin base while you cleared out the 3 bosses.

Maybe check your quest log for rescuing Halsin and see if the quest mentions his death?

I took a bunch of long rest, cause I already kinda gave up on this save and just kept on freely exploring. I've walked around hoping I'd find Minthara preparing an attack somewhere, but that was just wishful thinking.

When I found Halsin he told me to kill all the leaders, changed into a mouse and left (if I remember correctly). The logbook told me that I freed him, without a word about his death. What's even weirder is that when I talk to Zevlor I can only tell him that Halsin is still trapped by goblins (that are all dead now - Also though that it would help)

To be honest I'm completely out of ideas on how to unbug this.

It's possible that when Halsin turned into a mouse he ran through flames/other AoE and died. That's what happened on one of my playthroughs. In this case the game thinks he's freed (because you did successfully free him) but at the same time he's dead.

Honestly you're probably screwed unless you wanted to load an earlier save. I'd compile all the relevant info you can think of and send a bug report to Larian using their bug reporter.
Initiate the grove battle and Halsin's quest should update maybe? (and by update I mean probably say that he died)
