So this'll be another end spoiler-ish kinda thread.

So, I wanted to make a different kind of run, playing as an undead geo-(poly)-warfare two-handed wielding lone wolf fighter with Fane as ranger. So, Lucian's tomb it is. They want my source. I don't want to give my source. God King doesn't want me to give my Source. Fane is unsure, but claims that "I'll follow you regardless of your choice" or something. The epic fight starts and what does Fane do? Joins Lucian's mob. Hmm... One lvl 20 lone wolf fighter vs. a divine, two eternals, some magisters, a gheist, Braccus-fricking-rax...didn't end well! Trouble getting past round two, once one of the armor's down, it's over. Yep, even after dropping it to story mode. Humiliating. I have no idea how it's possible to get past that. And even if I get past that, the second round would be me (as the God King's chosen one) hiding somewhere in a corner in a fetal position, wishing that daddy Lucian would kill Braccus before they find me.

Well enough of cri&whine.

I did some googling, found surprisingly very little written about the Sworn way of playing. Overall, yes, it is rather underwhelming, you do more-or-less the same things as normal, fight Kemm, Isbeil etc. for whatever reason, despite having the same goals. Yes, I get it, it'd be a shitton of work to make it totally different experience. But this final fight is indeed very wierd. After googling, I found somewhere that apparently ALL the party members need to be Sworn in order to be on the same side. Now, how's this even possible? If I remember correctly, Fane when meeting the Voidwoken declined his offer to become Sworn, but maybe you can manually interact with it again, but to be honest, that's just bullshit. Fane's the only undead companion, so no one else can even join the Covenant? And Fane declines? Which means, unless you're playing with a friend, you're bound to fight the last fight alone against EVERYONE. Which is really, really hardcore for a rather casual gamer such as me. What I could do is that my main character just dies in the fight, Fane gives up his source, part two starts and maybe you win. But that's extremely anti-climactic, to put it mildly. But this is honestly very, very disappointing that my game is being punished by a problem I couldn't have possibly imagined in Act 3. It's the last ten minutes of the game, and I'm unable to finish the run.

One thing I did like about roleplaying this side was to release the Deathfog in Arx. That was kinda cool, music's epically dramatic, and you see the aftermath, although some ghost discussions or some remarks by party members/ship crew would've been nice. It was a pretty dickish move afterall, I'd imagine people would have opinions on it. And also it's a nicely presented choice, since by now, you know you'll fuck up the game if you release it early, that's only logical, the last fight bit is not.

Long story short, don't become Sworn, or if you do, use the Swornbreaker at some point and release the God King in the end, if you so please.

Anyway, maybe I have the will to at least eventually play it for the fourth time, any suggestions for an interesting build? I've played a blood mage, pyro/geo lone wolf, now this two handed lone wolf warrior. Are summoners any viable late game? I've played somewhere around where I get summoning lvl 10 and champion incarnate, but I found it drops off in power quickly after that, but I've also noticed that they do seem to get nice buffs and debuffs. Summoner probably has a nice start for a tactician run, I'd imagine.
