Taranmo the lolth-sworn drow is my current character. He is a rogue unless a different class that is introduced suits him more. He left the Underdark to get away from his life of being under the thumb of other drow of higher rank, especially the drow women. Upon reaching the surface he cut his hair short to signify his new life on the surface. He learns of Eilistraee and follows her for the freedom aspect but is still not a very nice person, self-centered, callous, and at points harsh but not nearly as cruel as the stereotypical drow. I gave him the dagger tattoo and a female seldarine drow illithid lover to sort of help with the following Eilistraee as a drow from the underdark idea. He is not ashamed of being a drow and uses his race to his advantage (such as intimidating the tieflings who trapped Lae'zel into leaving), and somewhat enjoys watching the shock or fear on people's face when seeing him or when they hear what he reveals about life in a lolth-sworn drow society. I really hope there will be the right type of hoods I have in mind because I like to think he wears gloves and hoods a lot to hide his race in case others attack him on sight, or alter appearance spells.
He really isn't on bad terms with any of the companions, in fact he and Astarion like each other quite a bit if you catch my drift. Shadowheart, Gale and Lae'zel don't seem to mind his company, even Wyll surprisingly. He isn't really fond of female drow so there was no way he was siding with Minthara. He enjoys Scratch and the owlbear cub's company too. And no he didn't kill the mother.
