It is far too difficult to cancel certain actions.
Example: I decide to try and sneak attack a Guardian Statue with my Rogue. This doesn't work, which is fine, but now I want to cancel the sneak attack. How to do it? Right click doesn't work like it does for some spells. Clicking on the regular ranged attack button doesn't work either. I try to swap to a melee weapon and back, but nope, still stuck sneak attacking. Then I try swapping to another party member, Gale in this case, and instead of swapping characters I shoot Gale! It's easier to shoot my own party than it is to cancel the sneak attack action? This is pretty poor UI design.
You should just make it like every other game in the world and have ESC cancel the current action. If not that, then at least make canceling your current action consistent across the board for every action in the game.
