Hey Guys,
I know "learn English" but... no, this game were more intensive if there are the German voices
I wanna buy this game but not without German voices, BG 1&2 are both with German voices.
I don't found this in the forum, so here the Question... can I hope that the German voices are coming?

Honnestly, I'd like French voices but I really think it won't happen.
There are tons of voices in the game, way more than in BG1/2. It would probably require a lot of money. Maybe we'll be able to mod this and create our own voice pack ? Could be cool^^

can I hope that the German voices are coming? My guess would be no. Unlike BG1&2 BG3 is fully voiced and most likely has more text then either (or both?) of those games. I do have really fond memories of Polish BG2 dubbing.

I'd love German voice acting, too, but I guess it would make the game a lot more expensive, since demands for voice acting won't stop with German. French, Spanish, Russian, maybe even Chinese would come up soon afterwards. Therefore I remember having read a statement by Larian, that they will keep voice acting English only, because of the huge amount of spoken lines once the game is finished.

Surely they can do the three languages of Belgium and have a logical end point.

I don't know if Larian has infrastucture of a major behemoth like EA or Activision necessary to do casting and recording in multiple countries they are not based on. Just for the record: Do you know who was in charge of BG's Polish localisation ? A small studio called CDProjekt Of course.

It's already more languages than most countries right at your disposal.

True, it would please the German, French and Dutch community, which is already a large part of Europe, so I'm all in favour for your suggestion 😉.

Maybe we can get some fans together to voice it in different languages.

Yes, we can collect Money for more Translations or we get some fans and translate this as a mod ^^
OR Larian Games goes to Kickstarter and collect Money for Translations, i think there are many Players, who give Money for that ^^

Kinda envy you that you were born in language that at least get some translation ... :-/ I would have to wait another five years at least for someone to create subtitles. :-/
I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are!

Don't you have subtitles? I mean, voice actors work so amazing in this game, honestly, I wouldn't have been able to perceive characters voices in a different way. Also in Russia, many people do not like Russian voice acting. Because English in 90% of cases sounds really better, at a professional level. >_> Just a little fact. Maybe it's different in Germany, I don't know...
I don't speak english well, but I try my best. Ty

Nope, everyone that is capable of understanding English likes it better, especially because German voice overs rarely get top Voice Actors that are used in movies.

Maybe it's different in Germany, I don't know... There are subtitles of course in the German version and the quality of the translation is good, too (I didn't notice mistakes or grammar errors, yet). But it's just text, no German voice acting. But I can live with it, because my English is good enough. I can understand, that it might be too expensive for Larian to hire that many voice actors for various different languages. I'll also second @Maikaz, it's better to have no German voice actors than having cheap/bad ones.

I know I am saying this as an English speaker BUT I generally prefer a game's audio to be in its original language (which is the opposite of my preference with anime weirdly enough), cause often times I feel like that is the language that had the most passion and work put into it and often times I can hear it. For example I set Sekiro to have the Japanese voices, not cause the dub was bad because the dub was really good, but because I really liked the emotion in the original Japanese voice acting. If BG3 was originally designed to be in French, I think I would have preferred it sent to french for example. That said, my preferences are my own and I absolutely welcome the idea for there to be more language choices for voiceacting so the game is more accessible to others.
