Interesting, thanks. Every walkthrough for the quest says there is. They even have pictures of a glowing disc thing.
I got the githyanki map when I fought them on my last playthrough.
I can only assume there will be another way to find it if you pass the speech check. I just assumed there was an alternative way to find the map in EA.
