I LOVE the music in BG3. It has a Beats Antique vibe to it. Its much richer, deeper and more complex than the music from the previous games. I love "Down by the River" and pretty much haven't heard anything I didn't think was a masterpiece. The music sounds orchestral as well, with a wider range of instruments used.

My hope is we hear more music like this.

As for the BG1-2 music. It was ok. It feels a little flat to my ears compared to the BG3 music but I think a lot of that was the limits of the medium and it sounds like it was mostly produced on a synth. Its not bad at all, but its also highly repetitive, doesn't take any real risks or make any complex statements. I think if you enjoy Nickelback - as I assume most of you complaining surely do - then I am sure it sounds brilliant to you. :P

I swear most of you must wrack your brains all day to find stuff to complain about. How is that not exhausting?

I like the score, but to be fair saying one doesn't like the score is valid feedback if they can back it up with why and how they would change it.

Music is subjective.

I like BG3's music enough, and it is one of my favorite soundtracks, but Wrath of the Righteous' soundtrack is way more memorable so far for me.

I think the music is just fine (Down by the River has outstayed it's welcome though), but I don't really get the enormous hype a lot of people seem to have for it personally. It just seems like pretty ordinary AAA game music. Competently made, but nothing that really catches my attention.
