So first off I'll start by saying I will no longer delete old saves when logging out for the day. After getting through the Lizard Consulate I talked to the Spirit of the Dreamer. Saved before talking to her, found out about the fight. It was late at night so I figured Id save the fight for the next day.
Reloaded the save before talking to her, used Source Vampirism on her. Made it so I couldn't talk to her but no source was consumed and she remains. So I went into my saves deleting everything from the day, as I have forever in any game, mass clicking delete, click, delete, click etc. The marker hopped to the top of the save list on page up and I deleted my save before using vampirism on her. Figured its no big deal I just ruined that quest line.
My character can no longer talk to anyone, companions do not follow anymore/they won't follow companions and they can not open anything. The character that used source vampirism on the spirit dreamer is for all purposes now brain dead. Just be aware and save yourself the grief. Glad it happened on my first playthrough.
