if you cast any spell using a bonus action, then the only other spell that can be cast that turn is a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action. Pg 202 PHB
Additionally even as Thief Archetype and Cunning action with fast hands you are limited to Disengage, Dash, Hide, Sleight of Hands check, and to use an object (Pg 97 PHB)
Sorry, I don't mean to ruin your fun. Its an interesting build concept but tables and groups have been nearly ruined by this sort of thing. The only way I know you can actually do multiple spells per turn is to cast Time Stop. Even the Haste spell doesn't allow or is not supposed to allow a second spell to be cast, it just allows a second physical attack to be made.
Oh I know the 5e rules, but that's not how Larian has been playing it. My Wizards have been able to cast
Misty Step, a bonus action spell, and a spell that uses an action in the same round. Furthermore, Larian's use of
Fast Hands has been an extra bonus action.
@Blackheifer, you're correct according to 5e RAW, but not necessarily according to BG3 rules.
I wouldn't be surprised if @Merlex's suggestion will be possible. Currently in BG3, I believe you can use both bonus actions to attack (?) and cast both a bonus-action and standard-action spell in the same turn (?). Idk if this has been changed since I last played or I'm remembering incorrectly...
Alternatively, it's likely that Quicken might be implemented similar to Sneak Attack, with a dedicated icon that is usable only once per turn.
Well in that case, one bonus action:
Hound of Ill Omen, second bonus action: Quickened
Hypnotic Pattern, action: spell that uses an action or
Sneak Attack
