Wouldn't it be nicer if only the most glorious of weapons and equipment look like they are on display at a jewelry store?
I don't know, I would expect legendary weapons to see some use. Because as far as I know weapons don't get used up in DnD
. Crap weapons are shiny as no respectable adventurer uses that crap. It's cheap, off-the-shelf manufacture.
