Yeah…I get that. It can feel a bit soulless to me..and weirdly lonesome at times. Geralt at least has Roach for company.

I prefer party games…I like the banter and friendships and seeing my impact on my party (not just the world). I hope that too gets attention in the final version of BG3.

Oh absolutely. That's another thing DA:I did very very well. Although I have been running with Cassandra/Sera/Solas the whole time and think I have run out of lines now. Should swap some companions around a bit. smile

BG3 has fantastic companion potential, and I believe the voice lines for banter are already there, they just need to be enabled/implemented to trigger more often. I'm sure that will all come in time. We are playing an unfinished product after all. I think we often forget that, because the game looks and feels so polished and beautiful already - but there is plenty of room for improvement yet when it comes to companion interaction, from fixing the flow of animations in cutscenes to enabling more dialogue/banter more often in more locations while out exploring.

The elder scrolls was allways game of huge paradox ...
So many things to do, so you almost feel overwhelmed ... and so short "main quest" so it can be done in few hours. laugh

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

Yeah, if they developed the characters and interactions and made the stories solid, it would be a great game even with all the barrelmancy and free disengage cheese.

I can't imagine I am the only one who saw the trailer and bought the game hoping for an interactive cinematic experience.

It's not that the characters have any interactions with each other, they do exist. Maybe there aren't as many of them as in DA, but they definitely are.
If you check the latest datamining you can see that they are actually trying to add more. What will come out of this, I'm afraid we will see only after the premiere.

The place your character finds themselves on is now technically a warzone, so it makes sense you would not find a lot of people doing daily activities liking hunting or fishing. the ones that make an attempt to do so, end up being killed.
