It comes off honestly as just saying something to avoid providing news when they announce a new release in at e3 assuming that even happens and its one class no other news or like 4 magical items not going to be impressed or I have no positive outlook to that as 1 class every 4 months does not really cut it. When you consider that the competition WOTR releases 5 classes and 10 classes in the same time length as well as other content. Its like a drastic different in game content release when you look at modders when the game came out were releasing more stuff than the development team. Just not at 5 star quality the balance just doesnt break even. For me to be impressed id have to see E3 with something like:
- 2-3 Classes
- 2-3 New Companions
- 2-3 Races
- 70+ items
- 2 New Zones
- Level Cap increased to between 6-8.
- Big Improvements to character generator (Inc More than 2 voices / More Faces / Height/Weight Adjustments to character design).
- Stat Rolling
- Options for starting Equipment

It would take like a bunch of stuff released in one patch to make me even mildly like that was ok. They are just not efficient it comes off as they are more focused on what they are going to do after bg3 or diverting to another project instead of finishing the project they originally set out on it not only looks bad on them taking so long for so little content in a patch but it looks bad on wotc who is releasing full add ons to 5E dnd play at twice they rate they are adding small things to bg3. It just comes off as lack luster. Despite the games obvious potential to be alot bigger than what they have started with and have the potential to make the game. Honestly if they were releasing content at a good pace they could be working on DLC content which they could probably make a ton off as well. Just adding additional races classes small adventure zones // Items Adventures. Subclasses they could basically probably get 3-4 years of DLC content out of BG 3 easily even more. But if they keep releasing content so slow the content will grow stale there wont be any player base for it even at the full release because people come back and visit it at a much later time instead of being glued to it and if the player base doesnt stick the dlc wont sell well enough to make the game keep training. When you read the articles and reviews now they are saying when is there going to be new content. That tells you even the critics have noticed that the content coming out is abnormally slow for EA/Beta releases of games. First time 4-5 months for one class could be written off as they were trying to improve load times second time being 4 months and no new content yet it just looks bad when you say hey heres 1 class. I dont mean to knock on it because I think the game has so much potential but it just feels like they are not putting in the effort they originally gave the impression they would which is dissappointing.
