Drop color palettes as loot or in the crafting stations make it possible with the flowers and plants around to make dye and use it on the armor.

I never have been a fan of crafting for the sake of it with tons of receipe I'll never use and with tons of ingredients that makes the inventory management a pain (even more)... but it would definitely be cool to custom our characters colors.

That would certainly be nice, and something I really hope to see once a crafting system is in the game.
