I'm hoping the surprise will be just how much has changed at its core so that once we are on the beach, BG3 feels like an entirely different game from before. I do want the option to keep Us around as a non origin companion, especially since him being made "permanent" would be great for the possibility of other non origin companions, but I also hope he isn't the surprise.
