I've mentioned this in another, very long and unfocused post of mine, but since Dialogues is the main reason for my complete loss of interest in this game, I've decided it deserves its own room.
After a rather long break I thought to give the game another try (today) in hopes to rekindle my interest, and after first conversation with Shadowheart it was GAME OVER for me. The rekindling experience lasted about 2 minutes and it was very successful in sparking my annoyance only. Not the main drive for me in the game...
I'm just tired to feel like a f...ing moppet, which is a consistent feeling throughout the entire game.
You can get distracted by fights, but sooner or later you are bound to face this immovable wall of crap, especially if you wish to experience the game in its fullest. And the key problem here is "immovable". Your inability to take over the conversation by design, to alter your companions' behavior in any way, your ever unchanging influence, etc. That trust/distrust system is a complete BS and matters only in 2 situations - how much the companions are willing to unveil about themselves and whom will you spend the night with. It has no impact on neither their general behavior nor their/yours dialogue options, not even your rolls in those dialogues. And when you level up, you gain new skills but there is no sense of growth whatsoever.
Your MC is in the leading position, yet your companions always have the last word, which at 90% of a time is neither constructive nor interesting, just arrogant and plain stupid. And I am not talking about companions alone, your dialogue options in most of the quests/situations are equally retarded. Like I said, it's a gift that keeps giving throughout the game. This is the only game I've seen that insists on you being either pushover or mentally challenged.
So, it seems that it all comes down to a matter of patience for me, how long am I willing to endure being called "stupid" by idiots with a gag in my mouth. The game offers no options to deal with it, it's either endure or walk out.
I will check on the game when it's fully released, which I'm guessing will be a year or two from now, judging by the amount of issues they have to deal with. Unless they decide to release a raw version of the full game.
There is nothing else I can add to what I've already said here and in my other posts, or what other players stressed about on these forums. I also have no idea, how many people share in my frustrations, so there is no way of telling if there can be even the slightest hope for any of this to be even considered for adjustments. One thing's for sure, there is nothing else for me to do here, just wait and see if it was complete waste of money or not.
