This was a suggestion I had for Solasta which I'd like to present here as well. I'd like to present an "Add/ Remove Characters From Party" feature of the game. This would be mostly for multi-player/ multi-custom character games.
So let's say that you start a game with a party of 4 custom characters (whether in Multi-player mode as 4 actual Players or in Single-Player mode where the player creates 4 custom characters and plays solo). You get through the part with Shadowheart and the Intellect Devourers. You decide you don't really like Custom Character 4. He's not working well with the party and/or Player 4 doesn't want to play anymore. The Host/ Main Player has the ability to boot Custom Character 4. So, just as you can tell Astarion to go away and never return, the Host/ Main Player tells Custom Character 4 goodbye.
Then, wanting a 4th Custom Character, one of the players decides to, during a Long Rest, creature a new Custom Character and adds them to the party. This character has no player OR a new player could be added to the party if the players found a 4th person to decide to play with them. If no 4th player, the Host/ Main Player could control character 4 or pass control to one of the other players. If solo player, they can boot or add new custom characters however they wish.
Character dies? Instead of having to bring them back to life, Host/ Main Player can kick the dead character and create and add a new one. So, the game can be done as an Iron Man mode if the player(s) choose. Though a character might perma-die, the game doesn't end. The rest of the characters continue on, pressing towards the final objective in spite of the losses. It might mean there is 1 Host/ Main Player that cannot die, but everyone else can and could be replaced.
Adding to this, it would be REALLY REALLY nice to have a Character Pool. Basically, under each profile, I can create a Character Pool. That way, if I want to create a new game using the same character I made previously, I can do so without having to remember how to recreate that character. This would make adding and removing characters easier. Basically, the player(s) could make new characters to build a character pool and then if they want to add one mid-game, they can just pull up a list of pre-made characters and click "Add".
