Is it bad that what I really want out of this is to see sexy fan art of Gale in his leather underwear fighting gnolls with an iron cauldron?
Not bad at all.
That said, this really illustrates the issue here, the homebrew has made every other mechanic irrelevant and actually hinders the fun of the game. One could argue "Just don't use it" but I feel that completely misses the point of having a balanced system and a fair challenge.
