Go to your Options, change the keybindings for camera controls to Right Mouse Button.
Then change your Cancel Action (which was bound to Right Mouse Button by default) to whatever you like - I use mouse 5 button on my gaming mouse.
This should make your camera controls a bit more bearable. I couldn't stand the default settings either.
WASD in this game is for camera control not movement, which is weird, yes.
