I respectfully disagree that it's a good expenditure of funds, or good value for marketing.
In that case i gues its good thing that you are not the one who decides what they should invest to. :P
//edit: Why even care? Its their money ... If they want to have less, but have fancy panels ... its their decision. I mean ... it would be different thing, if this game would be funed by some startup, and barely made it ... but as far as i know, this is not the case.
