No spoilers to story arch
I’m a huge baldurs gate fan and recently introduced my boyfriend to the game, we were experimenting with the multiplayer option as a boyfriend/girlfriend couple we found the game does not allow both people playing to have a role in the conversation nor cinematic dialogues. This was okay when looting while another was “recruiting” but when opting to engage in conversations with npcs it left no multiplayer options in communicating, which left one player feeling like they were just watching the other play without being a part of the game essentially. could this be changed to make the other person not just feel like a spectator or be left out of essential plot and details of the game. I think to how games like Star Wars the old republic handled multiplayer options where the two players have options to choose in dialogue and the “highest role” wins and gets the cinematic. It feels very rewarding to be a part of the story with my partner and not just observing him play or vice versa. Also it would have been neat for us to also build an in game bond like the npcs can overtime and have race related answers as well. Just a suggestion for more immersion in multiplayer. Any other suggestions?
