Hi team.. Need your help please.
I am trying to lunch bg3 but have this issue.
In steam I press play button.. Larian Launcher trying to start.. Loading circle for 5seconds and then crash.. No error no warning.
I tried to re-download files.. Have all softs needs for run..

I think that It have some issue with gog launcher as I have there dos2.. But this one is working fine.
I tried to link gog with steam.. All good. When I lunch bg3 same issue.
OS is fresh new.. All drivers -) gaming notbook Asus with Nvidia 3060 graphic card.
But issue here is launcher.. I can start game manually from bin file with dx11 but I don't have any save games.

Any help is appriciated

Did you attempt to launch the game directly from the executable without having Steam running in the background?
It should let you skip the launcher entirely, so you can test if that's what making your game crash or if the problem is something else.

Yes... Direct lunch with bd3dx11 is working.. But no save games from previous games.

Had the same issue, fixed that by updating my CPU driver. In windows it says that its up to date, but in practice it is not. Better to download it directly from the AMD website.

I went here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/...ssors-radeon-graphics/amd-ryzen-9-4900hs and just downloaded the auto-detect installer.

Did drivers only for the radeon part, and then some of the extras on the next part of the installer.
Once it was done, launcher works fine now.

I could launch BG3 directly form their executables, but the launcher would open and crash before the loading circle could even begin to rotate.
In "Event Viewer" it was a .Net crash that crashed the launcher.

Things I tried that did not work from other threads/articles..

Restart Steam - nope
Reboot laptop - nope
Verify game files - nope
Update Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime from 3.1.8 to 3.1.16 - nope
Install .Net SDK 5 - nope
Rename the "Launcher" directory to have it create a new one - nope
Create a "Settings" directory for the launcher with a random settings.json file - nope
Complete re-install of BG3 - nope

WOW omg i had this problem for many months and this post fixed it for me, thanks Mine works now

I had this problem and after much gnashing of teeth I found that I had a bogus Vulkan driver in the WIndows32 folder. Once I removed that everything worked fine.

This problem took me a lot of time, so now I want to help everyone who had the same problem)
