I don't know if you noticed this, but if you cast Embrace Shadows on enemy, you become invisible and can now attack him without leaving the shadows (they don't fight back). Pretty cool.

To be honest I did not know that....
Is this with the latest patch?

I think you can do the same thing with a survivor, albeit more difficult. Just run out of the line of sight of your enemy, and use the special skill hide in shadows. Then slowly walk up to your enemy (but don't get too close), use a ranged spell (like meteorstrike) and blast away. Use a few stamina potions when your stamina runs out. It's a bit cheesy, but at least you're not summoning 100+ level things against certain tough bosses... and it could theoretically make sense since survivors can sneak and should use it to their advantage in battle. :P

Actually, you can do this whether you're a wizard, fighter, or survivor. As long as you have embrace shadows as one of your skills, you can make it active and then right click on any npc. Some people in previous posts have said that this makes the game too easy...especially in dungeons and so they have avoided using it as much as they have avoided using the Death Scorpions.

I was talking about the special move (like the warrior round attack) of the rogue and not the spell / skill. Embrace Shadows is obviously nicer since there is no stamina drain, but I believe both ways result in the enemy not attacking you, and both are exploits / bugs. It's just that one makes more sense than the other.

I play a warrior and I can say that nothing is a more easy kill than killing a frozen character . I got this sword (I am less than 20th level) which has Freeze 2 and 5 charms... Singing Blade or something like that... Well, I am butchering everything arround .

The singing balde is always one of the best in the game (though stats are random...)

the sword from the stone is better than the singing blade. it makes them frozen for a short time, so i only have to use the freeze skill to incapacitate them for the beginning. grr. i wish i knew about embrace shadows earlier.. now i'm almost done with the game.

I would say you can get loads of xp if you just use blazing wall level 5, the AI is so stupid they just walk into it. If they don't come right away, just shoot them, then they will come So all you need to do is watch as they drop

The fireballs (Seeking Flame) are rather slow, so as long as you don't get right next to the tree or stand still for very long, they can not do any damage. There are about a dozen of those infernal zombies around the tree, though you can Resurrect them, run/teleport away so they turn hostile, then return to kill them again.

The Singing Blade *always* freezes the targets (if the target has low resistance, of course), whereas the sword from the stone inflicts Stun, which doesn't always work.

Actually, both blades have the potential to have the "Freeze" property, and both blades have the potential to NOT have that property. It just depends on your luck... or number of times that you reload. Ohhh, but beware if you have both Freeze AND Stun on a single weapon -- it bugs the game and your opponents don't die correctly sometimes, leaving you without experience and treasure, which sucks!

Ah, I have the stun skill and I have Singing Blade, though I think I get the experiance. It's cool to slash and to see monsters fall in bits 3 seconds after the strike!

I believe you still get the experience, but the death animation does not complete, so they do not drop anything. This bug is sometimes triggered (don't know if the latest patch helps/fixes this) if you have two of; Frost on a weapon, Stun on a weapon, or the passive Stun skill. I think someone said they could sleep to force the death animation to complete and any loot to drop.

That happened to me more often than I liked with the Holy Sword, so whenever I got to the Wastelands and got the Sword of Gods, I made sure to not get both of those properties together again. It was annoying, but not game-breaking... although I have heard that certain crucial bosses might get freezed and cause the game to not be able to continue. I haven't seen that the monsters drop loot after you sleep either.
