I don't recall seeing any chests near the rooms you are teleported to...Are you sure there are chests there? You were only supposed to manipulate the levers around you to access the title deed... I remember there was a room with several chests...As far as I know, that room is always accesible. To open those chests, you need your lockpick skill to be at level 5.
